REC II-3 Drum
As one of WYKO’s second generation Radial Expand-Collapse drums, the REC II-3 adds more productivity in that it allows for rapid width change via a single central adjustment point. By rotating this single point of adjustment with a hand tool, both halves of the drum move laterally opposite each other to increase or decrease bead set width while maintaining centerline. This not only allows for much faster width change (supplied with easy-to-read reference width indicator), but it also ensures all the shell/door ends on both ends of the drum are uniform.
Typically offered as an eight-section drum, the standard REC II-3 comes with gap shields/cover plates which allow for nearly infinite width settings within its range. As an option, versions can be provided which use central spacers in lieu of gap shields.
WYKO offers a variety of configurations to integrate into our customers’ machines and processes, including a hybrid central spacer version (in lieu of gap shields) and Run Flat (RFT).
